Chocolate Chip Cookies
What if, a coffee break draws near but there is nothing sweet to find in the appartment? What if, friends show up and one would like to offer them something? Or what if, you just need something sweet right now?
Well then I hope I made a batch of these chocolate chip cookies recently and froze some, that can then be baked right there and now.
Recipe – Chocolate Chip Cookies
Amount: 25 cookies
Prep time: 10 minutes prep, 10/12 minutes baking time
250 g butter
90 g white sugar
100 g brown sugar
1 Tsp vanilla extract or 1 pack vanilla sugar
300 g flour
1 Tsp baking powder
100 g chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
Cream 250 g soft butter with 90 g white sugar, 100 g brown sugar and 1 Tsp vanilla extract or 1 pack vanilla sugar in a mixing bowl.
Mix in 1 egg until well incorporated.
Stir in 300 g flour and 1 Tsp baking powder just until the first crumbs form. Now add 100 g chocolate chips or chopped chocolate and continue mixing until a coherent dough forms.
Form 25 balls out of the dough. Bake immediately or freeze (some of them).
Bake the cookies at 375° F (190° C, upper- and lower heat) for 10 minutes on a baking tray.
Taste best freshly baked. That is why I freeze the individual dough balls on a tray lined with baking paper. Once the balls are frozen I transfer them to a ziplock-bag. Just place them frozen on a baking tray and bake at 375° F (190° C, upper- and lower heat) for 12 minutes.
